Fall 2019 TBR

tentative #Burtontober tbr

Hi,

I am still trying my best to get back to all things reading and blogging amidst these busy times at work, the new baseball fandom, and this new found Netflix watching hobby. But then again, I realized that I don't really want to leave this blog because it has my reading thoughts which I like looking back to.

I have here my choices for the Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-thon as well as, of course, some of the books I hope to get into before the year ends (OMG! IT'S -BER MONTHS WHICH MEANS THE YEAR IS ABOUT TO EEEEEND!!!). I have here thrillers as well because why not? October & November are like thriller months. So why not join the fun, yeah? Also, I'm looking at my shelf right now while I'm doing this. Gives me a better feel of what I may want to read in the next few months.

As always, not all books will be read but I'll use this as a guide when I have NO IDEA what to pick up next (except for the #readathon books). Tell me on the comments below what I should prioritize and maybe what you like or not like about them real quick :)

Dewey's 24-Hour #readathon TBR
By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho | Lord of the Flies by William Golding | Brave New World by Aldous Huxley | Confessions by Kanae Minato | Death Note: L Change the World by M

Thriller Reads
Into the Water by Paula Hawkins | The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton | Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty | The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millenium #2) by Stieg Larsson | Gerald's Game by Stephen King

TBR Before the Year Ends (hopefully)
Dark Age (Red Rising #5) by Pierce Brown | Like a River Glorious (the Gold Seer Trilogy #2) by Rae Carson | The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore | The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary | What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera

HOW ABOUT YOU GUYS,
What are the books on your tbr this Fall? Are you participating in any reading challenges? Are you joining Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-Thon? Have you read any of these? Which of these should I really, REALLY get into soon?

let's connect!

  2. It's really tough, isn't it? I was off for months and months but have only found the drive to blog again last month. Anyway, I'm glad you're back and I hope you'll enjoy your reads this Fall.

  3. I quite enjoyed What if It's Us so I hope you do too! Lord of the Flies is such an icon classic and I like it a lot ^.^ There are a few here that are on my tbr too, so will be curious to find out what you think of them in the end x

    1. I tried the first chapter of What If It's Us and I liked it. I'm not much of a classic reader which is why I'm somehow struggling with Lord of the Flies. But I hope to really get through with it by the readathon :)

  4. Wow, this is an all-around great list. A nice mix of classics, thrillers, fantasy and even some historical and contemps. Well you know Dark Age is a must, the rest can keep.

    1. Thanks Kimberly, I usually go with mixed genres because I don't like reading somewhat similar books consecutively. I'm going to have to continue reading Dark Age in between these books.
