[TOP TEN TUESDAY] where I tell you my Manga Wishlist

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted at the Broke and the Bookish
Hello,

I haven't done this kind of post in AGES! This week's prompt is: All about the visuals: Top Ten Favorite Graphic Novels/Comics or Ten Comics on My TBR or Top Ten Favorite Picture Books! I decided to share to you, guys, my manga wishlist/to-be-read. Wishlist 'cause I still don't have these and I really, really, REALLY want them!!

* all links direct to publisher's manga page because goodreads isn't so reliable to these kinds of reads.
** links for bonus-wishlist direct to myanimelist because they're still not licensed thus no publisher to linked to other than Japanese publishers.

Bakuman. by Tsugumi Ohba (story) & Takeshi Obata (illustrations). I have a couple of volumes of this manga (as seen in photo) but I've read it as a whole through some manga-scanlations hosting sites and it's by far my fave manga. It's a manga about making manga. Also, it's the most inspirational thing I've read, personally. SO I have such great attachment to this series. SOOOO even though I've read it a couple of times and watched the anime like three or four times, I still WANT to have it. Also, in case you don't know this duo is the creator of Death Note :)
Bunny Drop by Yumi Unita. I also watched the anime and live action for this and LOVED them. It's heartwarming. I read somewhere that the manga is so lengthy and the ending isn't exactly worth it. That actually put me off a little but I'm still kind of interested because this was such a lovely anime.
Barakamon by Satsuki Yoshino. Yes, you guessed it right, I watched the anime for this series as well. It had the same feeling as Bunny Drop but they focus on different things. While Bunny Drop was more on the family and single parenting, Barakamon was more on knowing yourself and appreciating the people around you which is TOTALLY MY TYPE OF STORY!!
orange by Ichigo Takano. Also watched the anime (what is new even?). I LOVED it and I'm really curious as to how it is written in the manga. Also, I basically just want to see/read/and feel for Suwa again. I've seen this in the local bookstore but it's expensive! #sadlife. Okay, it's just around $20 or something but I'm still a student. UGH. So, soon. Definitely.
My Little Monster by Robico. Watched the anime too! I've read 4 volumes and those are the only ones I own. And this series has 13 volumes. 13! THIRTEEN! That massive number* is so daunting and I'm still a poor uni student.

*manga volumes are so daunting. manga series that are published weekly usually go around 10 volumes so it's really crazy. especially good ones like Bakuman. and Death Note or something else from Weekly Shonen JUMP or Weekly Shonen Magazine.

Attack on Titan by Hajime Isauama. Anime link here!! While this is an overrated series, I still ended up enjoying it. I like the progression of the story and the thrill and the action and the mystery. All of these were really well written in the manga at least those I've read -- volumes 1 - 7. If you've read more than that, please no spoilers. NO SPOILERS!
JUDGE by Yoshiki Tonogai. Along with Secret by the same mangaka, this is one of those manga I read that never and is never going to have an anime. JUDGE is a closed room mystery about a group of people trapped in an old court room and has to eliminate one person (and surprise!, the eliminated person dies. who kills them? who knows?). It's thrilling and intriguing. I'm down to the final volume!!
Secret by Yoshiki Tonogai. This is another conscience and trust issues-based story by Yoshiki Tonogai and I really just can't afford to pass it.
BTOOOM! by Junya Inoue. When I saw the anime for this, I was instantly sold. This is a manga where people are forced to kill each other through the use of different bombs (BIMs). I was so glad when I found out that it's officially translated. I've been hoping to get this manga for years. Will fulfill that soon**
Puella Magi Madoka Magica by Magica Quartet. Not gonna say it anymore but the anime was GREAT. It was the first 'dark' magical girl I watched. Also, the story was very well-written and how they twisted the magical girl image was completely unique (then). This series has spin-off manga volumes and I also (somehow) want to try them.

**when I'm a functioning member of the society and is earning enough money to actually purchase such number of manga volumes

hopefully these get licensed soon. hopefully.

Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari by Nodoka Shinomaru. Watched the anime and it's totally heartwarming and heartbreaking. I cried ugly tears on the final episodes. Also, it involves family relationships which is totally beautiful.
Daiya no A by Yuuji Terajima. This is one of my fave anime series. This manga is adapted into two seasons of anime: Ace of Diamond and Ace of Diamond S2. It's exciting. It made me somehow knowledgeable on baseball. It made me WANT to play baseball. Also, it's inspirational and ALL the characters are well-developed. While it's a lengthy manga with 47 volumes, I'm still more than willing to buy it if it gets licensed.
Daiya no A Act II by Yuuji Terajima. It's the 2nd part of Ace of Diamond where in the main character, Sawamura Eijun is finally in his 2nd year. Will he finally get the ace position and bring the team to Koshien? This is a currently publishing sooooo who knows?

    1. nah, I'm sure that's completely fine. Manga isn't exactly a for-everyone kind of read because of its story telling. Hope you read Bakuman though even though it's completely different from Death Note :)
