Never Never, a novella series. Book one of three.
Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.
This novella is recommended for readers age 16+ due to mild language and sexual content.
a completely intriguing read!
I got this book for free from Amazon Kindle. I download free Kindle books all the time just because I want to make sure I have books everywhere I go (even though I have enough ebooks on my Kindle App). AND you know, Colleen Hoover is a super popular author and I'm curious.
This is a review of Never Never PART ONE! I have not read part two and still don't have a copy of it. I'll go through that some other time. For now, let's talk about this first part which by the way, ended in a HUGE cliffhanger!
Never stop. Never forget. -p26
Never Never is told in alternating points of view (POV) of two long time best friends and lovers. In the middle of the day, they suddenly forgot everything. as in EVERYTHING. even their name. sad life. scary life. what now? how to survive this craziness?
I was really curious as to how this premise will play out. I mean both Silas and Charlie know nothing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! But amazingly, Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher pulled through and gave a very intriguing mystery that really made me read page after page in such a crazy pace.
Silas and Charlie tries to unravel the mystery behind their lost memories while at the same time, finding out things about them. And unfortunately a lot about them are not good -- their relationship, their family, and a certain event that brought everything down the drain. Both of them do not like the lives they supposed to live.
I may not remember anything about her, but I would bet her smile was my favorite part of her. -p97
Even though they do not know each other anymore, I LOVE how their relationship slowly develops. There's a lot of doubt and staying away especially for Charlie's part. She's very cautious. Silas is quite emotional. And as they unravel their lives, I found myself loving their relationship before and now (despite the cheating that both of them are doing).
The thrilling twist in the end really made me want the second part. This book has no resolution. I'm telling you that now. It ended at the moment when Silas discovered something important about their memories. And I'm super intrigued as to what's going to happen next!
OVERALL, Never Never is completely intriguing read that absorbed me right from the beginning. The romance between Silas and Charlie is sweet and slow. The mystery is good and kept me reading. The ending is a major cliffhanger and there's not resolution. (it's for free on Kindle, so if you're curious, just give it a try!).
let's connect!
I read the first installment and then forgot to watch out for the next one!

that might happen to me at some point since I don't really plan to buy any ebooks right now (and for some reason, I can't find them in local bookstores).
