FEBRUARY ROUNDUP (aka the better reading month)

#currentlyreading
Hello,

February was busy but it was good. My mind is still scrabbling over things I need to do and why the heck I'm procrastinating so much. I mean instead of actually getting things done, I read books or watch anime. I'm almost caught up on Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans by the way. Definitely one of the best anime I've seen so far! Watch it here!!

books read
I mentioned last month that I was in a slump. Thank the stars I'm done with that. Need, while I had some issues with it, helped me get out of it. It was followed by The Nightingale which was such a great read and really assured me that I'm done with the slump. But sad thing is that I can't seem to actually finish an ebook lately. Station Fosaan did it! It was such a bad read!! Revival really made me interested in picking up more Stephen King Novels. My #bookentine reads, The Season of You & Me and Made You Up were both really good but I did not completely fell in love with both. #sadlife

books reviewed
February was a great reviewing month for me. Some of these were, of course, scheduled from January and was read in late December. But still, I'm so proud of myself 😊 However, I plan to lessen my review frequency. Aside from the fact that my reading pace is getting slower, I don't want to bombard you guys with so much reviews and posts a week (not that I post more than others though. I just think that some posts don't get enough appreciation because of the many new ones coming in).

book haul
when the bookstore has 20% off
I didn't plan to grab books. Really. I only have King's Cage on my mind. But it was only released here in my country, a few of days ago (a couple of days before I posted my book haul). Now I have it though. YAY for that! I'll have it up on my March Book Haul 😁

to-be-read
Nothing here is definite, that's for sure. But I still list them just so I can have some picks if I have no idea what to read (or so I can easily zero in on books when I draw them from our fancy to-be-read prompt box. lol.). Duels & Deception is for a blog tour. It's a YA historical romance (and ya know me and historical fiction. we're like the best of friends!).

HOW ABOUT YOU GUYS,
How was your February? Anything you want to share? New hobby, projects, travel, books, school life?
How was your month in reading? Anything you added to your faves? Anything you recommend to me? Are you watching Gundam Tekketsu? Let's chat about it!

let's connect!

  1. I think I had a good reading month for February. I haven't had the chance to write my recap yet because: laziness. Hoping to do a lot of writing this weekend as I have an incredible amount of backlogs to sift through.

    Have a great March!

    1. I've had it for a couple of months now. I hope it doesn't go for years! But I am guilty of this for other more books, hahaha!

  4. So glad you're out of your slump! I had a rather bad one at the end of last year and it lasted far longer than I anticipated. You had an amazing reviewing month! How did you fit so many reviews into such a small month? I still need to get to The Lies of Locke Lamora myself. I hear it's amazing. Hope you enjoy your March!

    1. Same! I had a pretty bad one at late 2016 (lasted for 2 months, I think. such horrible experience). I can't actually believe I was able to get several reviews on such a short month. Crazy life. I've been seeing The Lies of Locke Lamora a lot which is why I bought it and I'm now so eager to read it. Thanks, Alicia!

  5. I'll have to check out Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans. I haven't watched any anime in a while and I definitely want to find some more good picks. I really enjoyed Lies of Locke Lamora---this reminds me that I need to continue with the series!

    1. I only recently went back to watching anime, so we're kind of on the same boat. I hope you enjoy Iron-Blooded Orphans! I instantly added it to my faves because the story and the characters!! (the characters especially!!). So glad you enjoyed The Lies of Locke Lamora. I'm kind of scared but also excited for it since I've never read any adult fantasy before.

  6. Congrats on getting out of your slump! It's so impressive that you reviewed that many books in a month! I told myself that I would review more on my blog, but so far it hasn't been working out too well. XD I didn't fall in love with the books I read for Bookentine either, but I also didn't participate in the readathon as much as I wanted. unfortunately, I didn't read too much in February. It was such a hectic month for me!

    1. Thanks, Genni! I was amazed myself. I'm sorry your Bookentine reads didn't work for you. I didn't participate so much as well as I expected. But that's completely fine. I hope March will be better for you!

  8. Glad you're out of your slump! I think i'm just crawling out of mine as well. I had a decent reading month but I slowed down a lot towards the end. I requested a bunch of books on netgalley thinking I wouldn't get approved for a lot of them but as it happens I now have 10+ books I need to review so I think this month I'll be focused on them as much as possible! Great wrap up post <3
