[WEEKEND READS] where I tell myself that I will be better than this

Hi,

I told myself I won't be doing any Weekend Reads posts anymore but here we are. lol.

I am really amazed at how people can consistently keep on posting blog posts for years and still have quality posts. You guys are amazing and I want to be like you! I really need to get on some habitual thing. I've been on and off with a lot of things in my life it's not even funny anymore at this point 😅😂

Consistency. Kind of what I really need right now. I will try an entirely different approach on habitual things (or maybe do what I usually do but be more stricter with myself. idk) and see how things go. I like planning things out but I am terrible at following up with them which sucks. BUT let's try to change it (I'm really just putting this out there so I can police myself. lol).

On other things, some life updates.

I'm still out here playing Sims 4 to chill myself. Will try to remind myself to take screenshots next time! lol. I'm about to have another Sims graduate from university. I made a new house and actually made our actual home to my Sims home. It was a bit challenging but I had fun doing that.

Aside from that, I'm trying to get through my Kindle ebooks and really old Netgalley ebooks. Everything just piled up and I think that with me not having actual work thus preventing myself from getting any books (yes, ebooks included! So now I'm hating my BookBub and Bookperk email subscription. ugh). The books I'm reading are bellow 👇👇👇

Finally, just some things that went on today.

I am in pain with this tweet ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡ðŸ‘‡

current reads

The Librarian of Auschwitz | Antonio Iturbe
I finally decided to pick this up and it is somewhat what I expected but not fully that. I expected it to be a difficult read. It somehow is. I needed to go through each word slowly to absorb everything unlike what I'm doing with the last books I read. Sadly, I also don't feel much for the characters. I generally think it's because it's told in a few points of views which I didn't expect. or it could also be with the narration style. ohwell.

The Name of Red (Red, #1) | Beena Khan
I have zero expectations from this. But I also joined the blog tour, so that's also odd I know. I'm also reading this quite late so I was full fingers cross that I'll like it. and fortunately I am loving it! I LOVE the reader characters, okay? I highlighted all the books mentioned and maybe I can make a list or something and read them at some point. lol. The craziness in me is showing but we'll see.

Sorry I Missed You | Suzy Krause
I started this early this month and it's taking me quite a while? I stopped for a while just because I stopped reading in Kindle for a week or something. idk. But I went back to this and really speeding through. It's very chill and to be honest, I have no idea where the story is heading. or maybe I do I'm just not sure if there will be more to it.

  1. We have a lot in common. We are both spending time in our virtual worlds. I would love to see your Sims pics. Consistency is what helps me with my anxiety. I feel like I have control and say-so over something.

  2. Agree with Sam - blogging helps my anxiety. Otherwise I just spiral into worry. It gives me a distraction. Glad for any content you put out there!!

    1. Thank you, Jen! Really doing to my best with reworking my blog schedule and pushing myself to put out content (because generally I usually have the posts ready, I just suck at actually scheduling them).
